Bridging Research and Practice: Illustrations from Appreciative Inquiry in Doctoral Research

August 11, 2014

It was a privilege to be editors for the August 2014 AI Practitioner special issue illustrating the bridge between AI-related theory and practice. Examples and practice options are drawn from Ph.D. dissertations completed in the Taos Ph.D. program.

In the introduction, we propose that ‘Designing Research’ offers ways of ‘being’ in research that brings a sense of attentiveness, relationality and connection to research that are useful and productive as a daily practice.

As you read this issue, we invite you to imagine how your practices can be seen as research and how your research can be seen as a daily practice.
